I creating a short video using old baseball movie clips for a party with a Drive-In Theater theme. I'd love to insert a couple of intermission/refreshments clips and insert candy bars named after ballplayers. How can I convert one of these downloads to a format I can use? my editing program is Final Cut Pro Express although I do have access to Final Cut Pro as well.

If you're making a dvd, it's easy. I have Nero 8 for that, but Nero 10 has since been made available. Just lay the clips out in the order you want to run them and hit the "write" button.
